I went ahead and took the initiative to start it. If you all
would prefer someone else do it that is fine. (for example Todd..it is his baby after all Laugh) It only takes
a second to delete it. I just figured it would be a place to start. You can see

I added a few of you to kick it off.

What is it?

Paper.Li is a daily News Paper Blog that is fed via a
specific Twitter list. This blog posts excerpts and photos of every person on
that list.  The excerpts and titles link
back to the original blog that published the post. In order to read the post
the reader must click on the link to visit the original blog; it does not
reprint the original material.

This benefits the original author by driving traffic to
their site as well as creating relevant backlinks.  Each day the Blog is updated automatically with
the previous 24 hours feed and then automatically tweeted by the founder of the
blog. The potential traffic is fantastic for everyone. I suggest all members
get involved.

Here is another thought. Someone from TBC can make a twitter list that is just members of TBC. That list is then applied to Paper.Li as a newspaper blog for the members. This will promote each and every member automatically. When the announcement goes out on twitter each day every member can then RT it. This would promote everyone here on an exponential level. 

If the average member has 1000 followers and there are 90 members, that would be tweeting your blog posts to 90,000 people a day (minus duplicates of course)

I am seeing traffic stars here. Surprised

I knew about it but never actually tried it.

Seems pretty cool.

Another curation tool that I like (and that works a little differently, you set up your sources, it proposes you stories from they, you select them or not) is scoop.it (actually I've been meaning to integrate it to my blog for a while and haven't done so yet)

Does anyone else use Paper.LI ?

 

If you do not know what it is let me tell you…

It is like a free blog that runs itself and takes less than a minute to set up. It runs on your twitter feed. If you are like me you probably miss a ton of twitter posts from people in your favorite lists. This paper grabs posts from your lists and puts it in a layout that is just like reading your morning paper. It looks awesome! 

I get up each morning and the first thing I do (after coffee) is look at my paper. All of my favorite bloggers are there in a well organized layout. (many of you are in it) Not only does it allow me NOT to miss your twitter posts, but it builds backlinks for all of you as well. How cool is that?

It also sends out an automatic tweet like this

The Mike Collins Travel Report is out! Top stories by @ @@

This tool promotes other bloggers Twiiter as well as their blog. Out of all the promotion stuff I have seen this by far is the most useful and entertaining.
